Dumpster rental in Austin, Texas

Austin search results for “dumpster rental” are crowded with national brokers. This page lists Central Texas companies we could verify from a company site, a Texas street address, or a local depot — with phones you can call. We do not invent rates. Own-site dollar menus: Dumpster Dogs, A-Tex, Rubbish Inc, Dumposaurus. Starting-at figures: WasteHero, BinDumped, and Bin There Dump That Austin. Everyone else is call-for-quote.

Roll-off dumpster

Named Austin haulers, phones, and yard addresses. This is the directory.

Not a roll-off

Small job: Bagster

Bag from a home-improvement store. No truck-and-bin in the driveway.

Not a roll-off

No bin: junk removal

A crew loads and hauls. Use this if you have no driveway space or you do not want to load a box yourself.

Not a roll-off

Junk removal — they load the truck

If a dumpster will not fit, your HOA will not allow a box, or you want labor, book a junk-removal crew. They show up, load, and leave. These are the companies’ public pages — ordinary links, no tracking codes added.

  • 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Austin

Their public Austin service page. A crew loads a truck — you do not keep a roll-off in the driveway. Address on that page: 725 W Powell Lane, Austin, TX 78753.

  • College Hunks Hauling Junk — Central Austin

Franchise junk removal and moving. Central Austin page lists 6510 Blue Bluff Road, Austin, TX 78724.

  • LoadUp

On-demand junk removal. Public site is goloadup.com.

Not a roll-off

Small job: Bagster

Buy the bag at Home Depot or another home-improvement store, fill it, then schedule pickup from the Bagster site. This is a bag, not a roll-off truck. Link goes to thebagster.com with no extra query parameters.

WasteHero

Veteran-owned Central Texas company. Homepage (seen 2026-08-30) prints starting-at dollars for 12/18/30-yard boxes only. It also lists 10/20/40 sizes and “special pricing” for concrete and dirt, without those dollar amounts. Confirm Austin delivery and included tons when you call — the printed figures are starting-at, not a locked invoice.

  • 5-yard: from $385 — If under 20 miles to landfill. 1 ton for mixed trash, up to 7 days. Clean rock/dirt/concrete/tile/brick listed as $385+ flat with no weight limit if no trash is mixed in.

A-Tex Dumpsters

Own homepage (seen 2026-08-30) prints a dollar menu for Austin ZIPs: delivery, pickup, and a listed tonnage. Confirm the 15-yard number; two of their pages disagree.

Rubbish Inc Dumpster Rental

Texas LLC with a printed 10/20/30/40 menu on rubbish-inc.com (seen 2026-08-30). Site says locally owned and also offers junk removal. redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Austin prints starting-at $395/$495/$595/$695 at the same 9322 US-183 address — treated as the same yard, not a second listing. Included tons, rental days, and overage ($80 vs $70 in FAQ copy) disagree across their own pages — treat the dollars as a menu, not a locked invoice. No hazardous liquids, chemicals, asbestos, paint, gas, oil, or medical waste. Concrete, gravel, and soil need a different container.

Bin There Dump That Austin

National franchise with named Austin operators (Colter and Lyndsie Williamson) and a listed FM 812 address. The Austin rates page (seen 2026-08-30) prints “Starting at” dollars for 6/10/15/20-yard bins and still asks you to call (512) 598-4770 for a tailored quote. Typical rental period on that FAQ is 7 days. Restricted items listed on the Austin FAQ include propane tanks, ammunition, paint, household cleaners, batteries, tires, and motor oil. Marked as a franchise, not an independent yard.

Grime Time Dumpster Rentals

Central Texas roll-off company we were missing. Own pricing page lists included tons, $70/ton overage, $10 per extra day, mattress $30, and a $125 dry-run fee, but it does not print a rental dollar amount — it says the price is calculated by type, location, and debris. A company blog mentions typical Austin 20-yard costs of $475–$575; that is not a size menu, so we do not treat it as a published rate. Call or use their calculator.

How to get a permit

In Austin, a dumpster on your own driveway or other private property typically does not need a city permit. A dumpster on a public street, sidewalk, alley, or other right-of-way does. The city treats dumpster ROW use as its own permit type and expects insurance plus a $10,000 bond.

Driveway / private property
Dumpsters.com’s Austin FAQ (page last verified 8/22/2026; re-checked 2026-08-29) says there is no permit requirement if the bin is on your property. Austex Dumpsters and Dumposaurus say the same for private driveways. HOA or apartment rules can still block driveway placement even when the city does not.
Street / right-of-way
City of Austin Transportation and Public Works lists a Dumpster right-of-way permit that requires insurance and a $10,000 bond. ROW Management defines ROW as public land including streets, sidewalks, and the area behind the curb out to the property line. Dumpsters.com Austin FAQ: you need a Right-of-Way Permit if the dumpster is on public land such as a sidewalk or alleyway. In practice, many residents ask the hauler to pull the permit because of the bond and insurance paperwork.
  1. Ask the hauler, before they roll, whether the box will sit entirely on private property. If yes, the city typically does not want a dumpster permit — still check HOA rules and leave room for the truck (Dumpsters.com Austin notes about 60 feet of approach and 23–25 feet of vertical clearance for their boxes).
  2. If the box must sit in the street, sidewalk, or alley, you need a City of Austin dumpster / right-of-way permit. Ask the hauler first: many already carry the insurance and bond the city requires.
  3. City applications go through Austin Build + Connect. Use “Apply for Right of Way Permits / Special Events.” Portal: https://abc.austintexas.gov/web/permit/new-application-rowman?reset=true
  4. ROW rules and contractor/bond notes: Austin Transportation and Public Works, Right-of-Way Management and Right-of-Way Contractors pages (links below).
  5. Walk-in questions: Austin Permitting and Development Center, 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Dr, Austin, TX 78752, weekdays 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
  6. We are not the city. Fees change (the city noted proposed ROW fee increases for fiscal year 2027). Confirm current requirements before you place a box in the street.

Broker vs hauler

National “dumpster rental near me” sites often take your ZIP, sell the job to whoever answers, and never send their own truck. A hauler owns roll-off trucks and usually a yard or landfill. A broker is a call center or lead form. Both can deliver a box — only the hauler is the one whose driver you will actually see. We mark franchises and national companies so you can tell them apart from a Leander or Creedmoor yard.

Weight and prohibited items

Weight limits and banned items are set by the hauler and the landfill, not by this directory. Below is only what named sources actually say. If a company does not publish a list, call them before you load.

  • Arrow Roll Offs

Accepts municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, and yard waste. 20- and 30-yard “no limit” notes for concrete, gravel, and soil. Unacceptable: hazardous materials including liquids, chemicals, asbestos, paint, gas, oil, and biological/medical waste.

  • Austex Dumpsters

Dirt and soil should usually go in a 10–20 yard box; the company says 25- and 30-yard cans are rarely or never allowed for dirt because of weight. Do not fill above the walls; they ask you to stay around 80% full so the driver can tarp the load.

  • Dumpster Dogs

Austin-area menu includes 2/3/4/5 tons on 10/20/30/40-yard boxes. Overage $75/ton. They warn that mixing concrete, brick, or tile with lighter debris is the usual way to go over. Dry-run $125 if the site is blocked.

  • BinDumped

20-yard starting price is not for large amounts of rock, dirt, or concrete. 5-yard can be used as a clean-fill box ($385+ with no weight limit if no trash is mixed). Overage $85/ton after the printed allowance.

  • A-Tex Dumpsters

Homepage: C&D and landscape waste allowed. No tires, hazardous waste, paints, oils, or other liquids. Mattresses and box springs are a listed extra ($50 on the homepage, $30 on the Austin city page).

  • Rubbish Inc

Does not accept hazardous materials including liquids, chemicals, asbestos, paint, gas, oil, and biological/medical waste. Concrete, gravel, and soil are not for standard containers — call for a heavy-debris box. Price-page overage is $80/ton after the printed allowance; FAQ copy on the same site also says $70/ton.

  • Dumposaurus

5-yard is clean fill only (dirt, rock, brick, concrete, tile). Mixed trash starts at 10 yards. Homepage prices do not print a tonnage cap — ask when you book.

  • Grime Time

No hazardous waste, liquids, electronics, or batteries. Tires and mattresses only with an extra fee. 10-yard can take a full load of concrete/gravel/soil; 20-yard half concrete only; 30- and 40-yard not for that heavy fill. Overage $70/ton after the printed allowance.

  • Bin There Dump That Austin

Austin FAQ lists restricted items including propane tanks, ammunition, paint, household cleaning products, batteries, tires, and motor oil. Confirm the full restricted list with the franchise before loading.

  • Dumpsters.com Austin

Hazardous, flammable, and toxic materials are prohibited. Their Austin accepted-materials list (for their own network, not every local yard) includes construction debris, wood and drywall, roofing, concrete, household junk, carpet, appliances, electronics, furniture, mattresses, and yard waste, with “restrictions or notes may apply.”

  • Texas Disposal Systems / others

TDS, ATX Disposal, Captain Hook, JJ’s, and WM did not publish a complete residential prohibited-item list on the pages we opened. Call the hauler. Do not assume electronics, tires, paint, or dirt are free extras.

Published price notes

We show a dollar figure only when that company’s own website prints it. Dumpster Dogs, A-Tex, Rubbish Inc, and Dumposaurus publish menus. WasteHero, BinDumped, and Bin There Dump That Austin print starting-at figures. Grime Time’s pricing page lists tons and extra fees but not a rental price. Directory and broker ranges below are labeled as such — they are not a bid from a named yard.

    Source: DumpsterListing Austin, seen 2026-08-29.

Labeled as “prices based on local market data.” Cards are not tied to a named hauler’s invoice. The same page lists El Dorado Disposal at a California address, so treat the table as a directory estimate, not verified yard pricing.

  • WasteHero starting-at figures (own site)

    12-yard from $369; 18-yard from $399; 30-yard from $579

    Source: wastehero.us homepage, seen 2026-08-30.

Labeled starting-at. 10/20/40 sizes are listed without dollars. Yard address from FMCSA, not from the homepage.

  • Dumpster Dogs published menu (own site)

    10-yard $395 (2 tons); 20-yard $495 (3 tons); 30-yard $595 (4 tons); 40-yard $695 (5 tons). 14 days. Extra day $5; overage $75/ton.

Source: ddwaste.com dumpster size calculator, seen 2026-08-30.

Page labels these as Austin-area rates. Contact page lists 5110 State Hwy 71, Del Valle. Denver/San Antonio may differ.

  • BinDumped starting-at figures (own site)

    5-yard from $385; 10-yard from $405 (1 ton, 21 days); 20-yard from $505 (2 tons, 21 days). Under 20 miles to landfill. $85/ton over. Possible $20 fuel fee.

Source: bindumped.com dumpster rental pricing, seen 2026-08-30.

No 30- or 40-yard dollars on that page. Distance and debris type can raise the number.

  • A-Tex Dumpsters published menu (own site)

    10-yard $425 (2 tons); 15-yard $475 (3 tons; Austin page also showed $460); 20-yard $495 (4 tons); 30-yard $595 (5 tons); 40-yard $695 (6 tons). 14 days. Austin ZIPs. Rock-box 10-yard $425 unlimited tons.

    Source: atexdumpsters.com homepage, seen 2026-08-30.

Company contact page lists 6214B W. Highway 290. Mattress fee disagrees between homepage ($50) and Austin service page ($30).

  • Rubbish Inc published menu (own site)

    10-yard $395 + tax; 20-yard $495 + tax; 30-yard $595 + tax; 40-yard $695 + tax. Price page says 10 days and 1/2/3/4 tons by size; extra weight $80/ton. Distance fees may apply outside central Austin.

    Source: rubbish-inc.com roll-off sizes page, seen 2026-08-30.

South Austin page repeats the same dollars but changes days and some tonnage copy. FAQ also mentions $70/ton. Use the dollars, then confirm tons and days when you call 512-298-5445.

  • Dumposaurus published menu (own site)

    10-yard $415; 20-yard $525; 30-yard $625; 15-yard $450; 5-yard clean-fill $385. Tax extra. “Price per dumpster dumped.”

    Source: dumposaurus.com homepage, seen 2026-08-30.

Still printed on the homepage. Compare to Dumpsters.com’s $728 average: this menu sits lower on 10–30 yard sizes, but we do not know included tons, days, or distance fees.

  • Bin There Dump That Austin starting-at figures (own franchise site)

    6-yard from $350; 10-yard from $375; 15-yard from $425; 20-yard from $475

Source: bintheredumpthat.com Austin rates and sizes, seen 2026-08-30.

Labeled “Starting at.” The same page still says contact them for a personalized quote. Typical rental period in the FAQ is 7 days.

Hypothesis that local yards undercut national broker averages in Austin: still not a market rule. Four own-site menus (Dumpster Dogs, A-Tex, Rubbish Inc, Dumposaurus) and three starting-at lists (WasteHero, BinDumped, Bin There Dump That) sit below Dumpsters.com’s $728 average on common sizes. Included tons and days differ, and most other verified yards still say call. DumpsterListing’s cheaper card ranges are not attributed to those yards and sit on a page that also lists a California company as Austin. Call two local yards and one marketplace if you want a real comparison.

Left off this list on purpose

  • El Dorado Disposal Service — 580 Truck St, Placerville, CA 95667. DumpsterListing’s Austin page listed this California hauler as an Austin company. El Dorado Disposal serves El Dorado County, California. Not an Austin yard. We will not copy it.
  • Austin Roll Off Solutions — 1234 S Congress Ave / Capital City Dumpsters — 5678 N Lamar Blvd. Sequential street numbers on DumpsterListing. We could not find matching company sites. Left out until a real Texas address and phone appear on the company’s own page.
  • Dumpster Dudez Austin / VaVia Austin / BuildForce Austin. Franchise or office-suite listings (Capitol of Texas Hwy suite, Arcadia Ave, Huntland Dr suite 516). We want a yard or a clearly local truck operation. Revisit if they publish a yard address we can check.
  • Travis Dumpster Rental (Launchrock page). Thin landing page and a Haverford Dr address we could not confirm as an operating yard. Looks stale. Dropped.
  • Dumpster Enterprises Austin ZIP page (dumpsterenterprises.com/dumpster-rental/tx/austin). Prints dollar tables, but it is a national booking site, not an Austin yard’s own menu. Left out of the hauler table.
  • Town Bins, RightDumpster, rolloffdumpstersaustin.com. Opened 2026-08-30. Market-estimate or quote-funnel pages with dollar ranges. Town Bins listed 0 Austin haulers. Not a named local yard’s printed menu.
  • West of The Mess (westofthemess.com). Search results show Travis County dumpster pages. The homepage was unpublished when we opened it on 2026-08-30. No own-site menu to cite.
  • redbox+ Dumpsters of Greater Austin (redboxplus.com/greater-austin/our-prices/). Prints starting-at $395/$495/$595/$695 (seen 2026-08-30) and lists 9322 S Hwy 183 Bldg B — the same South Austin yard as Rubbish Inc. Not a second yard. Phone on that site is 512-957-9701.
  • Griffin Waste / centexdumpsterrental.com. Opened 2026-08-30. griffinwaste.com Texas page now lists Denton County only, no Austin dollar menu. centexdumpsterrental.com resolved to an unrelated gambling page, not a dumpster yard.
  • Texas Dumpsters and Services (txdas.com). Georgetown-area company with 512-222-4779. Own site says free over-the-phone quotes. No printed size menu on the pages we opened 2026-08-30.
  • AMAN Dumpsters (amanwithatruckdumpsters.com/dumpster-rental-hutto-tx/). National-style city page with an 888 number and a footer listing towns from Kansas to Alaska. No Austin-area dollar menu and no Texas yard on that page.
  • WasteDoor, DumpsterComparison, Frontier Waste Austin, Waste Connections Austin, Republic Services Austin. Opened 2026-08-30. Aggregators or national haulers. Frontier/Waste Connections/Republic advertise roll-off but do not print a residential 10/20/30/40 dollar menu on the pages we read. Not added as call-for-quote brokers.
  • Hook Em Dumpster LLC (hookemdumpster.com). Homepage (2026-08-30) prints 10-yard $350+ and 20-yard $450+ with a 512-699-8581 phone. Contact page address is only “Austin, TX.” Angi lists a PO Box. No street yard/office we could cite the same way as the other listings.
  • Southern Royalty Roll Off Dumpster Rentals (southernroyaltyatx.com). Own site (2026-08-30) prints 20-yard $385/$415, 30-yard $585/$615, 40-yard $700/$715 and lists 11411 FM 812, Del Valle. The only phone on that site is 605-270-3524 (South Dakota). Rule is a Texas phone. Left off until they print a Texas number.
  • Toss It Dumpsters LLC (tossitdumpstersllc.com). Hill Country / Bertram / Kerrville company with Texas phones. Cost page gives Central Texas market ranges, not their own size menu. Contact says free quotes.
  • Modern Waste Disposal (modernwastedisposal.com). Austin roll-off site lists 20/30/40 sizes and tons. No rental dollar amounts on the homepage we opened 2026-08-30.
  • Prime Waste Dumpster Rental Austin (primewastedumpsterrental.com/austin-tx/). Footer says “Pricing Provided by Dumpster Rental Enterprises.” No printed size menu. Looks like a booking brand, not a named local yard’s own rates.
  • Chase Dumpster Rental (chasedumpsterrental.site). Lists 8300 N I-35 and phone 512-555-0199. That 555 exchange is a reserved fake number. Not a real listing.
  • Budget Dumpster Austin (budgetdumpster.com). Dumpsters.com / national marketplace location page. Not a local yard’s own menu.
